Traffic Amnesty Program

TRAFFIC AMNESTY PROGRAM

The Superior Court of Solano County is offering a 50-percent discount on qualifying old unpaid traffic infraction tickets. It is a limited-time "Amnesty Program" for certain outstanding court debt owed by adults or juveniles. The discount would apply to the total amount due, including the base fine and any assessments, late charges, and other fees.

The program will run from January 1, 2012, through June 30, 2012.

To inquire about juvenile tickets, contact the Juvenile Probation Department at 707-784-7631.

Only traffic infraction tickets that were due and payable before January 1, 2009 are eligible. Parking tickets, driving under the influence (DUI), and reckless driving cases are NOT eligible.  The program also does not eliminate "points" that the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) adds to driving records.

The qualifications below apply to cases in Solano County only. If you have a case in another county, go to www.courts.ca.gov/find-my-court.htm to find information on other courts.

To qualify for the 50-percent discount on a Solano County case, all of the following conditions must be met:
  •  An outstanding traffic infraction case in Solano County where the amount owed was due and payable in full before January 1, 2009;
  •  You either did not appear in court or did not pay in full;
  •  The last payment was made on or before January 1, 2009;
  •  A civil assessment pursuant to PC 1214.1 was not added to your case after January 1, 2009;
  •  You do not owe restitution to a victim on any case within Solano County;
  •  You do not have any outstanding misdemeanor or felony warrants within Solano County.

If you meet these qualifications, you may apply by remitting your 50-percent payment and a completed Eligibility Affidavit.

To submit your completed Eligibility Affidavit and remit your 50-percent payment you may do one of the following:
  • Fax the Affidavit to 707-426-1406 (Fairfield) or 707-644-2149 (Vallejo).  A GC Services representative will contact you by telephone to take your payment via credit card.
  • Mail the Affidavit and payment to GC Services, P.O. Box 7820, Baldwin Park, CA 91706.
  • Bring the Affidavit and payment to the GC Services window at the Solano Court Traffic Division, 600 Union Avenue, Second Floor, Fairfield, CA or 321 Tuolumne Street, Vallejo, CA.  Please note that Court business hours are 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding Court Holidays.
